Comment by Gabrielle A. Ball
This Comment contemplates the place of autonomous technology in current Louisiana tort law, focusing on personal vehicles, and proposes a liability and insurance regime for a future saturated with self-driving cars. In particular, it examines the background and context of emerging autonomous technology and evaluates how future liability issues would be addressed under current Louisiana law. Lastly, this Comment reviews potential solutions to the relevant liability questions and proposes a no-fault insurance regime, drawing inspiration from France's Loi Badinter.
